American River Construction, Inc. is happy to introduce our sister company, American River Construction Consulting, LLC.
Our experience and resources — gained over 33 years of successful General Contracting in Northern California — are now at the disposal of our clients. This knowledge, gained in-the-trenches, makes us different from other construction consulting firms: we are not just a company of run-of-the-mill, fresh-out-of-college, behind-the-desk types; we are a company of in-the-field types. We KNOW how to build things.
Most projects have unique variables/situations that require construction managers with an intimate understanding of construction in order to ensure that the project is a success. We have the needed experience.
We look forward to demonstrating to you the value of that experience.
Let us tailor the best program to meet the needs of your project.
Over more than thirty years in the construction industry, we have amassed a lot of experience.
We have done ground up and/or tenant improvement projects for:
… to name, but a few!
We carry both a General Engineering Contractor (A) and a General Building Contractor (B) license classification; so, we have been able to take on a wide variety of projects with the knowledge and expertise to make the projects a success for all.
Because we also carry a Concrete (C-8) specialty license classification, we have often self-performed the concrete scope on our projects – be it just a small housekeeping pad or an enormous tilt-up building, or anything and everything in between.
Public Works Owners:
… HELP general contractors make the jump to public works contracting. There are a lot of differences between private and public works contracting. There is money to be made either way, but you have to know the rules of the game.
… HELP develop a successful construction business plan and strategy. There are many factors that need to be taken into account in order to get work and make a profit. We can help you with risk analysis. Risk must be a factor in determining profit margin. We can help with bookkeeping and job-costing, so that upper management can make informed business decisions.
… HELP prepare a Site Specific Safety Plan. As the industry is more and more safety conscious, the requirements to ensure safety on each project have gotten more and more extensive. These requirements CAN be met; we are here to help you meet them.
… HELP with contract disputes. Most owners are fair, if you treat them fairly. Most disputes arise due to misunderstandings and lack of communication. We ca help sort out these issues and get them resolved before they become costly, time consuming problems.
WE CAN …
… PROVIDE on-site supervision. Projects require an experienced site supervisor. This is especially important if the project is difficulty or is different than your construction business’s area of expertise.
… DO project management for a specific project. We use a simple, project management system so that upper management can easily review project status on their phone.
… CREATE and UPDATE project schedules using real logic in order to get the project done on time.
WE HAVE …
… EXTENSIVE concrete work experience. Our specialty is tilt-up construction. Concrete work can be very profitable, in managed properly; concrete work can be very expensive, if everything is not well.
Architects and Designers that carry the responsibility of construction administration should consider taking advantage of our extensive experience and ability to get things built. This is especially true on projects that involve unusual complexities. We help identify design issues before they become a problem and ensure that the construction team has a complete understanding of the design, so that everything is built correctly the first time. We do a lot more than track RFI’s and submittals. We promote project success.
We are here for those owners who are interested in building a nice home and want to make sure that the final result is just what you dreamed of. We can help with everything from choosing land, home design, budgeting, permits, and construction management. Building your own home can be fun and fulfilling, if it is well planned and well managed.
